CHERTSEY
THE
LOCAL AREA
Nestled on the banks of the River Thames and River Bourne, Chertsey has a rich history dating back to the 7th century when Chertsey Abbey was founded. The area gained its market charter from Henry I, making it one of the oldest market towns in England. Today, Chertsey has evolved into a unique town with a bustling local high street, just a short walk from Kasia House, which is lined with a great selection of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.
Chertsey is conveniently located within the London commuter belt and its mainline station, only half a mile (approx.) from Kasia House, has excellent links into London and Reading. The area also has great connections by road with easy access to the M25, M3, A3 and Heathrow Airport, which is a short drive away.
